CHS basketball in season opener to Caverna By Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer Campbellsville Independent School District Campbellsville High School girls' varsity basketball team battled Caverna in its season-opening game on Tuesday, Dec. 1. Final score was 49-65. CHS sophomore Nena Barnett led her team with 12 points. Junior Elena De Pedro and sophomore Vonnea Smith had 11 points each. The team will play at Bethlehem on Thursday, Dec. 3, and at home against Cumberland County on Friday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. Chris Huff is the head girls' basketball coach. Jamie Vernon is the junior varsity head coach and Shajuana Ditto coaches the freshmen team. Tiarra Cecil and George Eon are assistant coaches. A few photos are below the story.
