Ruth Ann Sims, 73, Somerset, KY, died Thursday, November 26, 2015, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

The funeral services will be at 2pmCT, Sunday, November 29, 2015, at the H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with Bro Tim Dennis and Bro. Carroll Egnew officiating. Burial will be in Rexroat Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, November 28, 2015, at the funeral home.

She was born August 24, 1942, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late James Arthur Sims and Sadie Mae Williams Sims. She died Sunday, November 29, 2015, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 73 years, three months, and five days.

She was a retired teacher.

She is survived by the following:
  • A sister: Stella McClure, Jamestown, KY

  • Two brothers: Raymond Sims, Nashville, TN, and Phillip Sims, Bristol, VA

  • And a host of nieces and nephews survive
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ralph and Roy Sims.
