Harry Furkins: More memories of Breeding Grade School

Harry Furkins writes:
I'm sure both Roger and Donita are correct on their dates. Donita failed to mention Mrs. Ruth Thomas, 4th grade teacher. She was the first teacher I had at Breeding Grade School, when I came to Breeding in 1960.

For some information on Mrs. Hannie, she was hard of hearing.

You could hear her TV blasting if you were walking by the school. I also would split her wood and pack it in for her at the grand total of a quarter an hour. She could bake the best acorn squash, green beans with potatoes, and cornbread ever. I think she enjoyed having company even if I wasn't working for her.
