Annie Mae Shofner Roots, Taylor Co., KY (1925-2015) She retired from Fruit of the Loom where she worked for several years. She had professed faith in and had attended various churches throughout her life. She was a native of Marion County, a longtime resident of Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, and was a resident of Woodford County, KY, a the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Albert & Mary Sprowles Shofner and the widow of Charlie F. Roots, her husband of 54 years. She leaves five direct living descendants. Funeral services will be conducted at 12pmCT/1pmET, Friday, November 13, 2015 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. George Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon National Cemetery, 20 Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY. The family requests visitation from 4pm to 8pmCT/5pm to 8 pmET, Thursday, November 12, at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home. Annie Mae Shofner Roots, Taylor Co., KY (1925-2015) She was born Annie Mae Shofner on August 25, 1925 in Marion County, KY. She was the daughter of to late Albert and Mary Sprowles Shofner. She died Tuesday, November 10, 2015, in Versailles, Woodford County, KY, at the age of 90 years, two months, and 15 days. She retired from Fruit of the Loom where she worked for several years. She had professed faith in and had attended various churches throughout her life. She married Charlie F. Roots on May 17, 1941 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2005. Also preceding her in death were a son, Bobby Joe Roots and two brothers, Gilbert Shofner and Oscar Shofner. She is survived by the following:
