Columbia Police Department arrests Russell Co. woman on DUI and drug charges

On Saturday, October 31, 2015, at approximately 4pmCT, CPD Officer Josh Brockman observed a 1997 Dodge Ram truck making an illegal U turn on the Louie B Nunn parkway and initiated a traffic stop.



After contact with driver it was determined that the driver was possibly under the influence of an intoxicating substance. After investigation the driver, 57 year old Donna Gosser of Russell Springs, KY was arrested on charges of:
  1. Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of drugs 1st offense
  2. Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree
  3. Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container./li>
  4. Possession of Marijuana 1st offense/li>
  5. Careless Driving/li>
  6. Improper turn
Gosser was lodged in Adair County Regional Jail.
Arrests are not findings of guilt. An individual charged by police is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
