Lindsey Wilson College Board of Trustees Chair Allan Parnell of Louisville, KY, presented a facsimile check of $261,667 to LWC Vice President of Advancement Kevin A. Thompson, with LWC Director of Alumni Relations Randy Burns looking on Thursday, 22 Oct 2015, at LWC Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center.

Parnell pledged that if the college got 500 donors to give Oct. 20-21 to LWC scholarships, he would add $50,000. The campaign was so successful that Parnell increased the pledge to $70,000 for 700 donors. The two-day campaign attracted 836 gifts totaling $191,667, which resulted in a $261,667 total donation to LWC scholarships.

That campaign included a $25,000 21st Century Young Alumni Challenge by 2001 LWC alumnus Chris Estes of Lexington and a $15,000 challenge to support the Lindsey Wilson Singers by 2005 alumnus Chris Innes of Los Angeles.
