News from Campbellsville Police Department

On Saturday, October 10, 2015 at approximately 11:21amET, the Campbellsville Police Department responded to a collision with injuries at the intersection of South Central Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard.



A 2012 Nissan operated by 61 year old Teresa A. Sherer of Louisville, KY, was traveling eastbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard, attempting to cross South Central Avenue.

Sherer pulled into the path of a 1998 Ford operated by 31 year old Thomas W. Greenwood of Campbellsville, KY, who was northbound on South Central Avenue. The Sherer vehicle then struck a 1998 Chevrolet being operated by 53 year old Leslie W. Tungate also of Campbellsville.

Tungate was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY by Campbellsville Taylor County EMS for possible treatment. Sherer and Greenwood were not injured.

Officer Andy Warren of the Campbellsville Police Department investigated the incident. Agencies responding, were Campbellsville Police Department, Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS, and Campbellsville Fire/Rescue.
