Kentucky State Police Post 15 activity report - Sep 2015

Three fatalities in month; fatalities down in Post 15 territory, up statewide

Columbia, KY - (Mon 12 Oct 2015) - During the month of September 2015, there were 21 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.



There were three fatal collisions during the month of September in the Post 15 area.
- Gary Royalty, age 68 of Springfield KY, was killed on 09/01/15 in Washington Co KY.
- Derek Reul, age 26 of Campbellsville KY, was killed on 09/26/15 in Taylor Co KY.
- Lukas Henderson, age 22 of Greensburg KY, was killed on 09/26/15 in Green Co KY.
This brings our yearly fatality count to 27 compared with 37 through this same period in 2014.

Statewide fatality count stands at 530 compared with 481 through this same period in 2014.

During the month of September 2015, there were 1084 citations written, 70 courtesy notices written, 1634 vehicles inspected, 686 complaints answered, 109 motorists assisted, 68 criminal cases opened and 170 criminal arrests made.
