Square will be closed to vehicular traffic at 2pmCT

Alternative routes will be in place; commercial vehicles are asked to avoid the area and, as always, use Veterans Bypass

Columbia Police would like to remind everyone that the Public Square will be shut down to all traffic at 2pmCT, Friday, October 9, 2015, in preparation for this year's Downtown Days.



There will be alternative routes in place to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible. Commercial vehicles are ask to avoid the area and use the Veterans Bypass. Traffic will be reopen for travel at 3amCT, Sunday morning, October 11, 2015.

When traveling near the area of the square expect traffic delays and pay extra attention for the safety of the pedestrians who are enjoying the festivities.

We hope everyone comes out and enjoys the weekend at Downtown Days it looks as if there will be something for everybody. - Ofc. Josh Brockman
