17-year-old Taylor Countian dies in truck accident Speed and wet roads among determining factors; TCSO investigation is ongoing. Related: Obituary By Larry Smith, The Wave 92.7 & The Big Dawg A young Taylor County teen has died as a result of a one-vehicle accident six miles west of Campbellsville on Old Summersville Road. Taylor County Sheriff Alan Newton says that 17-year-old John Matthew Clark of Elmore Road, Campbellsville, was operating a 2000 Ford pickup truck, lost control, ran off the road and stuck a tree head on. Clark was pronounced deceased by Taylor County Coroner Al Hardy. He had to be extricated from the wreckage by Taylor County Fire and Rescue. Speed and wet roads are determining factors, however, the accident is currently being reconstructed and investigated. Deputy Sheriff Ricky Underwood.
