Westlake Regional Hospital Auxiliary News - 24 Sep 2015 By Sharon Harris Westlake Hospital Auxiliary met on September 24, 2015 in the hospital cafeteria. Members present were Shirley Grider, Margie Coffey, Sharon Harris, Glenna Shofner, Shirley Reliford, Wanda Bardin, Evelyn Phelps, Lila Loy, Margaret Sparks, Mildred Loy and Neal Gold. The meeting was called to order by President Shirley Grider. She read a very inspirational reading titled "Burdens Give us Wings." We discussed the health fair which will be October 3. We will be selling breakfast items, hot dogs and also homemade baked goods provided by the auxiliary. All proceeds will go to the auxiliary to benefit the hospital. Mr. Gold gave us an update on the hospital. He is still cautiously optimistic about the sale of the hospital. Lila Loy, one of our members gave a presentation on the many crafts that she does. She spends her winters in Florida and is active in the American Cancer Society there. She had samples of the crafts that her group makes and sells for donations to benefit the cancer society. She is a very talented lady and we enjoyed the presentation. We enjoyed delicious refreshments provide by Margaret Sparks and Margie Loy.< We want to welcome prospective members to the next meeting which will be held October 19 in the hospital cafeteria. Lila Loy and Mildred Loy will be the hostesses. Sharon Harris, Secretary This story was posted on 2015-09-30 13:40:10
