By Jordan Alves, SID, Campbellsville University

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It the past year, Campbellsville women's soccer has moved from a team at the bottom of the Mid-South Conference all the way to a national contender. The first's keep coming for the Lady Tigers as they have now broke that barrier of being ranked in the NAIA Top 25 for the first time in program history.

Campbellsville picked up 188 voting points to sit at No. 19 in the second regular-season edition of the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll.

The Lady Tigers are a perfect 11-0 on the season and sit a top the Mid-South Conference with a 3-0 record. CU is one of three teams that remain undefeated and the only team in NAIA DI with double-digit wins.

"It's nice to be voted in the Top 25 fo the first time in program history," said coach Thom Jones. "It shows all the girls' hard work is paying off and now its getting recognized nationally. I am very proud of them. Now we musy stay in the Top 25 and take care of business."

Campbellsville is led by arguably the most decorated player in Lady Tiger history, Mhairi Fyfe. Fyfe, a junior from Livingston, Scotland, tied the all-time goals record on Monday, September 28, 2015, in the Lady Tigers' 6-1 win over Oakland City. Fyfe leads the Mid-South Conference and is ranked No. 2 in the nation with 15 goals. She is also ranked No. 3 in the NAIA with 32 total points.

Also, rising senior Rachel Veatch has been the silent leader for the Lady Tigers all season. Veatch is right behind her teammate Fyfe in the Mid-South Conference with 11 goals - good for No. 7 in the NAIA. Veatch has recorded two hat tricks in the Lady Tigers' previous four games in the past weeks against conference foe St. Catharine (KY) and NCAA DII opponent Oakland City (IN). During that span she scored two more goals - one each against Faulkner (AL) and Shawnee State (Ohio).

Sophomore Amanda Howard sits a top the conference with 51 saves on the season. The defense, which is led by senior Morgan Danis, sophomore Anne Hare and freshmen Taylor Pence and Rachel Seals, are a big reason why the Lady Tigers have outscored opponents 57-4 in 2015.

Mid-South Conference rival Lindsey Wilson College sits a top the poll for the fourth-straight time. The Blue Raiders received 17-of-19 possible first-place votes for a total of 528 points.

Mobile (AL) is No. 2 for the second-straight week, as the Rams received the last two first-place votes for 513 points. Northwestern Ohio sits at No 3 and has been ranked in the Top 10 for 10-straight polls dating back to Oct. 7 of 2014. Keiser (F<) and Benedictine (Kan.) both round out the Top 5 sitting at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Campbellsville is joined by No. 22 Ottawa (KS), No. 24 Middle Georgia State and No. 25 Houston-Victoria (TX) as the newcomers in this edition of the poll. It is also the first time each of these programs have moved into the Top 25.
