Letter: A worthwhile page in our right to speak

George Kolbenschlag writes:
Editor Waggener's comments are a great summary of the school board uproar of the era. He is right on with what he says. All parties on the board appear sincere in their opinions, and no matter the outcome this has been a worthwhile page in our right to speak our piece on matters of public concern. That's what makes this a great place to live. And we should thank God we don't all agree. And Columbia Magazine is a great vehicle to do that.

My piece is I hope Alan Reed is retained. He's proven to be by far the most professional, creative and student-oriented superintendent in the 28 years my wife and I have lived in Adair County. It would be a shame to end his tenure and in my opinion, it would would be detrimental to our school system. --George Kolbenschlag
