Transportation grants support student trips By Molly Caldwell Frankfort, KY - Students from 10 more Kentucky schools are taking field trips to a Kentucky State Park thanks to a transportation grant from the Kentucky State Parks Foundation. The KSPF's "Inside Out Education" initiative allows schools to seek the grants that enable students to learn about the environment, history or culture at a Kentucky State Park. "We're very pleased that more students are experiencing the outdoors at Kentucky State Parks with the help of these grants," Parks Commissioner Elaine Walker said. "It's important that the next generation of Kentuckians learn about their history and environment and the significance of our state parks." The third round of grants went to 10 schools. These awards are from the Foundation's Educational Partnership committee's first review of Inside Out Education grant applications for the 2015-2016 school year.
