Adair County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 15 Sept 2015

Indictments brought against 6 individuals, including former Adair County Deputy Coroner, from Adair and Taylor counties. Charges include forgery, misrepresentation, theft, receiving stolen property, and assault.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 15 September, 2015:


  • Anita L. Barrera (05/14/1977), Poplar St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00070. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Bail set at $2,500 c/p. Arraignment Oct 6, 2015 at 1pmCT.

  • Paul Stuchell (05/25/1969), Tessa Loop, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00071. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Assault, 3rd degree. Bail set at $2,500 c/p. Arraignment Oct 6, 2015 at 1pmCT.

  • James C. Rowell (08/04/1964), Edmonton Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00072. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - False statement/misrepresentation to receive benefits over $100. Count 2 - False statement/misrepresentation to receive benefits over $100. Bail set at $2,500 c/p. Arraignment Oct 6, 2015 at 1pmCT.

  • David Taylor (11/26/1971), Summer Hill Dr., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00073. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, $10,000 or more but less than $1,000,000. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, $10,000 or more but less than $1,000,000. Count 3 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, $10,000 or more but less than $1,000,000. Count 4 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, $500 or more, but less than $10,000. Count 5 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, $500 or more, but less than $10,000. Bail set at $20,000 c/p. Arraignment Oct 6, 2015 at 1pmCT.

  • Tyler H. Derman (03/28/1990), TP Cundiff Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00074. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property, over $500 but under $10,000. Bail set at $2,500 u/s by family member. Arraignment Oct 6, 2015 at 1pmCT.

  • Jonathan Lee Bryant (05/31/1983), Vester Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00075. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 2 - Criminal attempt to commit rape, 1st degree. Count 3 - Assault, 4th degree. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bail set at $20,000 c/p. Arraignment Oct 6, 2015 at 1pmCT.
