Camp Boyle Civil War Marker project resurrected By Mike Watson, Adair County Historian The Camp Boyle Civil War Marker project is being resurrected. The movement is to raise funds to erect a Kentucky Historical Marker at the site of this important Civil War camp, located at Columbia, Adair County. Many thousands of soldiers were camped around Columbia and in the county during the War, Camp Boyle being located just outside the limits of town on the Campbellsville Road. Contributions have again started to come in to pay the cost of the marker; contributions may be made through the Adair Heritage Association.s Contact Mike Watson at watson.kentucky@gmail.com, or any AHA member, or at the Adair Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.
