It was the best attended festival of the six held so far at the farm. It’s worth noting that there were also more volunteers helping at the festival than ever before including men from Campbellsville’s Healing Place and four EEA students from Adair County High school.

Citizens from another era at 2015 HGR Fall Festival

Citizens from another era returned to Homeplace on Green River Saturday, September 12, 2015 to help turn out the largest attendance in the six year’s the event has been held. The colonial re-enactors in this photo enjoying one of the entries in the dog show are Marica Peevey, Versailles and Jake Hill, Columbia. Homeplace, an early 1800s farm is being restored by in a joint effort by Adair, Green and Taylor counties and has been designated Kentucky’ Outdoor Classroom. - GEORGE KOLBENSCHLAG

HGR Fall Festival 2015:

There was a large attendance by both humans and canines at the dog show at the Homeplace on Green River festival Saturday. The show was sponsored by the Campbellsville Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and helped swell the crowd at the festival to a record 1200. - GEORGE KOLBENSCHLAG

A preliminary attendance count of 1200
at this Saturday’s Homeplace fall festival makes it the largest turnout in the six years the festival has been held. Fortunately there were more volunteers working this year than ever before, so things went smoothly. The colonial re-enactors and expanded program drew the record attendance. - GEORGE KOLBENSCHLAG
