Willie M. Hoosier, 75, Taylor Co., KY (1940-2015)

He was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Houston and Lottie Burress Hoosier. His wife Betty Hoosier, survives. He leaves five direct living descendants. Willie had worked at Bourbon Cooperage for 15 years and then performed concrete work for 24 years.

Willie M. Hoosier, age 75, of Campbellsville died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12pmCT/1pmET, Friday, September 11, 2015, at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Billy Whitehouse and Bro. Danny Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Keltner, Darrin Keltner, Garron Keltner and Jason Shively. The family request visitation from 10amCT/11amET, to 12pmCT/1pmET, Friday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

He was born August 13, 1940 in Taylor County, KY, to the late Houston and Lottie Burress Hoosier. He died September 9, 2015, at the age of 75 years, 27 days.

He was also preceded in death by three brother, Elmer Hoosier, Coakley Hoosier and William Leslie Hoosier; and three sisters, Hettie McDonald, Wilmadean Karnes and Velma Bailey.

Willie had worked at Bourbon Cooperage for 15 years and then performed concrete work for 24 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Hoosier, of Campbellsville, KY, and the following:
  • Three children: Debbie Nalley of Bardstown and Rebecca Arnold and Chad Arnold of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two granddaughters

  • A brother: Bradley Hoosier

  • Three sisters, Zelma Lotter, Nellie Goode and Onia Abell and her husband Johnny, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • and a host of friends.
