Travel: KY Welcome Center, Simpson Co. to temporarily close By Wes Watt Public Information Officer, KY Transportation Cabinet, District 3 Bowling Green, KY - (25 Aug 2015) - The Kentucky Welcome Center on Interstate 65 in Simpson County will temporarily close 8amCT, Wednesday, August 26, 2015, and is expected to reopen Monday, August 31. The closure is taking place so crews can perform repair and maintenance work. Crews will be making pavement repairs to the ramps and parking lot. Sidewalk improvements will also be completed along with additional and improved wheel chair accessibility.
