She was the matriarch of a large, respected Middleburg, KY centered family. She was the daughter of the late Milford & Ruby Crawford Lane. She was a former worker at Liberty Sportswear, ATR and was a caregiver.

Janet Lou Douglas, age 81, of Middleburg, KY passed away on Wednesday August 19, 2015 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.

Funeral Services will be held at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, on Friday August 21, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home, 231 Lynn Street, Middleburg, KY, with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Casey County, KY. .Visitation will be held starting at 10amCT/11amET, on Friday August 21, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Middleburg, KY.

She was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on August 3, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Milford & Ruby Crawford Lane. She died Wednesday, August 19, 2015, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 81 years, 16 days.

Survivors include:
  • Three sons: Donnie Douglas and Larry Douglas both of Yosemite, KY; and Ronnie Douglas of Jackson, OH

  • Three daughters: Beverly Means and Terry Douglas both of Yosemite, KY; and Dede Douglas of Russell Springs, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Four great-grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Roberta Phillips of Stanford, KY; and Nellie Means of Liberty, KY

  • And one brother: Clell Lane of Yosemite, KY
Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by one son, Randy Douglas; one sister, Janice Morrison; and four brothers, Billy, Timmy, Buster and Don Lane.
