Edith Young, 85, Russell County, KY (1929-2015) She was the matriarch of a large, popular family with strong roots in her native Cumberland County, as well as Adair, Green, Russell Counties of South Central Kentucky and elsewhere. She was the daughter of the late Bob and Lavesta Daniels Logston and the widow of Wilmuth Young. She leaves 18 direct living descendants. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Christian Church in Green County and attended Shiloh Christian Church in Adair County. She was a former employee of Summit Manor Health & Rehab in Columbia, KY. She died Tuesday, August 18, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 85 years, 11 months, and 14 days. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Christian Church in Green County and attended Shiloh Christian Church in Adair County. She was a former employee of Summit Manor Health & Rehab. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmuth Young; one brother, Robert Mansfield Logston; and six sisters, Robbie Goodhue, Mae Brown, Nellie Baker, Mary Janes, Bernice Stockton, Marie Cooper.
