Campbellsville Police make arrest in CU locker room burglary

Two arrested on eyewitness information, after allegedly taking money from CU Soccer players' personal belongings while the players were practicing

From Campbellsville Police Department

The Campbellsville Police Department responded to Campbellsville University,On Friday, August 14, 2015 at around 8amET, in reference to a burglary.



Once officers arrived, it was determined that two males had gone into the Campbellsville University's Soccer Team's locker room in Campbellsville University's H & W Sport Sop Ronnie Hord Field House. and stole money from the players personal belongings, while they were practicing.

An eyewitness surprised two of the suspects during the thefts and was able to give officers a detailed description, which led to their arrest.

Two people were subsequently arrested, 20 year old Austin Brett Ford and a 17 year old male juvenile, both of Campbellsville.

Both were charged with Burglary 3rd degree.

Ford who was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center and was also charged with Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 3rd degree.

The juvenile was released to his parents.

Sgt. Shannon Wilson was the investigating officer.

A charge is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
