Early morning traffic stop results in several arrests Driver, two passengers lodged in Adair County Regional jail following traffic stop on Mack Street in Columbia and the alleged discovery of a large amount of copper wiring and finding that three occupants had outstanding indictment arrest warrants By Ofc. Josh Brockman, Public Information Officer Columbia Police Department, Chief, Jason Cross An early morning traffic stop has resulted in several arrests. Columbia Police Department initiated a traffic stop at approximately 4:41amCT,this morning, Friday, August 7, 2015, on Mack street. The stop came as a result of a complaint called in by a Kentucky State Police Detective who was driving an unmarked cruiser witnesses a vehicle driving erratically. Upon the stop Ofc. Drew Conn and Sgt. Gary Roy observed a large amount of copper tubing and wiring. Upon further investigation it was found that the operator, Ricky George, from Columbia, KY, had a outstanding warrant and his passengers, Miles Coffey and Stephanie Shuck, both of Columbia, KY, had outstanding Circuit indictment warrants. All three were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by CPD Ofc. Drew Conn, Sgt. Gary Roy and Adair Conty Deputy Justin Cross. Ofc. Conn is continuing the investigation and will file additional charges when Campbellsville Police Department concludes their investigation on the items taken from their jurisdiction This story was posted on 2015-08-07 09:51:12
