ACSO arrests driver alleging DUI, leaving scene of accident

Incident occurs at Holmes Bend Marina

A fifty-six year Adair County woman was arrested on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 5:50pmCT after leaving the scene of an accident. On Tuesday, August 3, 2015, Adair County Sheriff's Office Deputy Aaron Rainwater was called to Holmes Bend Marina for a non injury accident.



Upon his arrival a 17-year-old juvenile advised that Norris had struck her vehicle and left the scene in a White Ford Ranger.

The vehicle was found within minutes and 56-year old Marianne Norris of Columbia, KY,arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 1st offense and leaving the scene of an accident after the deputy noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from her person. Norris was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail, Columbia, KY.

NOTE: Law enforcement charges are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged on arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later court proceeding.
