Charles Marshburn speaks on: Has Columbia, KY regressed?

About: Kathy Phelps Gaskins: Has the town regressed?

Charles Marshburn writes
That is the $64,000 question! No movie theater, no parking spaces for Canadian tour buses, no 5 and dimes, the best place to buy clothing is a Walmart or a yard sale, no Outback Steak House (Well, maybe that was a dream!). - Charles Marshburn
Thanks, Mr. Marshburn - But this is the first I'd heard about us wanting anything from Australia, not that anyone here is prejudiced against them because they talk funny, are silly from listening to opera, or because of their penchant for aggravating crocodiles. It's just that we've never seen an Australian tour bus anywhere in Kentucky. That's the bottom line. After alll, busses are the basic metric for Economic Development.
