Kim Brown Angel, Casey Co., KY (1961-2015)

She was a retired elementary teacher for Fannie Bush Elementary in Clark County, KY. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the University of Kentucky. Kim was a great mentor to other teachers in her profession. She was a member of the Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church. Kim was a graduate of the Casey County High School where she played basketball and was the Homecoming Queen. She loved dogs and horses. She was the daughter of Lewis and Sarah Wardrip Brown of Danville, KY.

Kim Brown Angel, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her home in in Winchester, KY. She was 54.

Funeral services are 2pmCT/3pmET, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Steet, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn, Pastor Lee Cruse, and Bro. Rodney Smith officiating. Ms. Kim will be laid to rest in Casey County Memorial Gardens.Visitation is Saturday from 12pmCT/1pmET, to funeral service.

Born Sunday, January 8, 1961 in Boyle County, KY, she was the daughter of Lewis and Sarah Wardrip Brown of Danville, KY. She died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in Winchester, Clark County, KY, at the age of 54 years, six years, and 14 days.

She was a retired elementary teacher for Fannie Bush Elementary in Clark County, KY. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the University of Kentucky. Kim was a great mentor to other teachers in her profession. She was a member of the Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church. Kim was a graduate of the Casey County High School where she played basketball and was the Homecoming Queen. She loved dogs and horses.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by:
  • A brother: Dwayne (and Kelly) Brown of Danville, KY

  • Nieces and nephews: Kelly and Keith Brown, and Manning, Brandon, and Maasak Tagarook

  • and eight great nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Gideons International in memory of Kim Brown Angel.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 725 Campbellsville Steet, Liberty, KY.
