KFB President Haney keynotes Homeplace summer meeting

Leader of Commonwealth's largest agriculture organization speaks to importance of Homeplace on Green River as Kentucky's Outdoor Classroom (TM). Adair County Judge Executive Mike Stephens, Green county CJE John Frank and Taylor County CJE Eddie Roger all attended the meeting, which included about 30 leaders among a growing group of supporters for increasingly popular South Central Kentucky attraction

Kentucky Farm Bureau President Mark Haney was the keynote speaker at Tuesday's Homeplace on Green River summer board meeting.

Mr. Haney spoke to the importance of the mission of Homeplace as Kentucky's outdoor classroom and its efforts to preserve Kentucky's proud agricultural heritage.



Homeplace is an early Kentucky farm being restored and is the project of Adair, Green and Taylor counties. The farm is located at 5807 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY.

About 30 board members, political leaders and interested citizens from all three counties attended the meeting.

Adair County Judge Executive Mike Stephens, Green county CJE John Frank and Taylor County CJE Eddie Roger all attended the meeting.

The large contingent from Adair county also included Assistant CJE Holly Grimsley, Columbia Mayor Curtis Hardwick, Columbia City Councilman Charles Grimsley, Farm Bureau Board member Danny Wilkerson, Entrepreneur Ben Arnold and a number of other Adair County Homeplace board members and interested citizens.
