Columbia Police Department makes several arrests Charges alleged include Possession of Methamphetamine, and Counterfeit Money Click on headline for complete story By Ofc. Josh Brockman, Public Information Officer Columbia Police Department, Jason Cross, Chief While on patrol on July 10, 2015, CPD Ofc. Charles Greer located a male subject on Fairground Street who appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance and, upon stop and investigation, 46 year old James Polston of Columbia was charged with Public Intoxication of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Original Container. He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail in Columbia, KY. On July 10, 2015, CPD Ofc. Drew Conn received a call of an intoxicated male in the area of Walmart. Upon arrival Conn located 28 year old Barry Burton of Liberty KY. Burton was arrested and lodged in Adair County Regional Jail on Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, and Public Intoxication. On July 13, 2015, while investigating a report of counterfeit money, CPD Sgt. Tracy McCarol located and arrested 41 year old Deborah Mann on charges of eight counts of Possession of Forged Instrument 1st Degree (counterfeit money), Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
