KYTC announces lane closures for interchange construction Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway in Russell County reduced to one lane – each direction Click on headline for complete story By Amber Hale, Public Information Officer Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 8, Somerset, KY SOMERSET, KY (Fri 10 Jul 2015) – As work resumes on the new U.S. 127 and Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway Interchange in Russell County, lanes have been reduced along the Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway - both east and westbound - between mile points 61-63. Motorists are reminded that speed limits are reduced along the Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway as well as U.S. 127 between mile points 17.1 – 18.1. Drivers are encouraged to pay close attention to signage throughout the work zone. Lane closures, lane restrictions, flaggers and construction personnel working in close proximity to traffic flow should be expected. Appropriate caution is required. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes. These lane closures are expected to last until October. Duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays.
