Celebration of Quilts at Old Mulkey July 10-12, 2015

TOMPKINSVILLE, KY - The Old Mulkey Meetinghouse State Historic Site,38 Old Mulkey Park Road, Tompkinsville, KY is hosting a "Celebration of Quilts and Quilting: In honor of Lucille Page, 9am-5pmCT, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, July 10-12, 2015.



During this event the Meetinghouse will exhibit colorful quilts produced by the Monroe County Quilt Club. In addition, there will be a display of this year's challenge entries and other sewing and quilting items.

A variety of quilting-related games will be held in the Meetinghouse yard on Saturday and Sunday. Free quilting-related demonstrations and programs will be held in the park shelter. (In case of inclement weather, the demonstrations will be held in the nearby Monroe County Extension Office meeting room.)

There's even an "Ugliest Fabric Contest." The event will conclude with a "Quilt Show and Tell." A community Shop Hop is being held in conjunction to the event. Contact Sheila Rush at 270-487-8481 or Sheila.rush@ky.gov
