Vallard Ray Goode passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Casey County Hospital. He was 69.

Funeral services are at 11amCT/12 noon ET Monday, July 6, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Tex Selph officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 4pm-8pmCT/ 5pm-9pmET at the funeral home.



Vallard Ray Goode, 69, Casey Co., KY (1945-2015)


Born September 8, 1945 in Casey County, KY, Mr. Goode was the son of Betty Martin Goode of Liberty and the late Alfred Goode. He died Thursday, July 2, 2015, in Liberty, KY, at the age of 69 years, nine months, and 24 days.

He was a farmer and former Chairman of the Board for the Casey County Farm Service Agency. Vallard loved to play checkers.

Survivors include:
  • His mother, Betty Martin Goode
  • His wife, Brenda Jones Goode of Liberty, whom he married May 6, 1972
  • A son, Robert (and Anita) Goode of Liberty
  • Two daughters, Angelia Jones (and Dominic) Hunter of Lexington and Jennifer (and Nathan) Franklin of Waddy
  • Five grandchildren, Isabella, Amelia, Allie Raye, Sophia and Stella
  • Two brothers, Arnold (and Karen) Goode of Liberty and Jay (and Brenda) Goode of Liberty
  • Two sisters, Shirley (and Gary) Campbell of Louisville and Elizabeth Pelley of Liberty.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Casey County Pork Producers Association.

Pallbearers are Greg Goode, Darren Goode, Barren Goode, Michael Goode, James Campbell, Donnie Brown, Freddie Tomas, and Robert Rugar.
