James C. (Jim) Blair, 87, Adair Co., KY (1927-2015) James C. Blair, age 87, of Columbia, KY passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at his home. He was born in Akron, Ohio July 20, 1927. He attended grade and high school in Akron, and, in 1945-1947 served in the U.S. Army. He then attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from the College of Law in 1951. He practiced law in Birmingham, Alabama from 1951 through 1960. He then attended the Columbia University business school and in 1962, resumed the practice of law in New York City. He retired in 1987 and moved to Adair County, where he resided until his death. He was the son of the late Paul C. Blair, a native of Adair County and the late Billie Catron Blair, a native of Clinton County, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by a brother, G. William Blair of Birmingham, Alabama.
