Minor England, 77, Adair County, KY (1938-2015)

He was employed by the City of Columbia for 30 years, retiring as Sanitation Department Supervisor, was an avid fox hunter and attended Egypt Christian Church. He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Arvin and Artie England. His wife, Judy Bryant England, survives. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Minor England, 77, of Columbia, KY, died Monday, June 29, 2015 at 6:37amCT, at his home.

Funeral service will be Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 1pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Paul Patton officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Wednesday, July 1, 2015.


Casket bearers: Sam Locker, Gary Moss, Mark England, Virgil Harned, David Harned, Wayne Jessee.

He was born Monday, January 24, 1938, in Adair County, KY. He was the son the late Arvin and Artie England. He died Monday, June 29, 2015, in columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 77 years, five months,and five days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Darrin Minor England.

He was employed by the City of Columbia for 30 years, retiring as Sanitation Department Supervisor, was an avid fox hunter and attended Egypt Christian Church. Survivors include:
  • His wife: Judy Bryant England of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Breanna (Daryl) Bolin of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Stanley England of Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Barbara Harned of Louisville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Samuel Darrin Locker and Alexander Payne Bolin

  • Several other relatives and friends
In lieu of flowers, Minor requested donations to St. Jude's, which may be left at the funeral home.
