Travel: NB 1-75 in Rockcastle Co., KY will be reduced to 1 lane Northbound I-75 in Rockcastle County to be reduced to one lane starting Sunday, June 28th Pavement improvements should be complete by August 1, 2015 By Amber Hale, Public Information Officer KY Transportation Cabinet, District 8, Somerset, KY SOMERSET, KY (June 26, 2015) – Beginning Sunday, June 28, northbound Interstate 75 in Rockcastle County will be reduced to one lane beginning at mile point 65.22 and ending at mile point 68.78 as crews continue pavement resurfacing project. Lane closures will take place starting at approximately 6 p.m. on Sunday and will continue through Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Dates and times of lane closures may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. Speed limits continue to be reduced from 70 to 55 mph through the work zone and double fines are in effect. Work is scheduled to be completed by August 1. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra time in reaching their destinations.
