She was a native of Adair County, KY, and will be laid to rest here. She was a resident of Barren County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Billand Mable Elizabeth Rowe. Her husband, Edward Grimmer, survives.She leaves three direct living descendants. She was retired from Johnson & Johnson in Chicago, IL

Lillian Grimmer, 86, of Glasgow, KY, died Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:02amCT, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Richard Martin officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 10amCT, Tuesday.


Casket Bearers: Curtis Hardwick, Tim Hardwick, Gary Hickerson, Daryl Hickerson, Larry Rowe, and Daniel Byczynksi.

She was born Thursday, February 7, 1929, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Mable Elizabeth Loy Rowe. She died Friday, June 19, 2015, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 86 years, four months, and 12 days.

She was retired from Johnson & Johnson in Chicago.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Edward Grimmer of Glasgow, KY

  • One daughter: Natalie (Ed) Byczynski of Naperville, IL

  • One brother: Elroy "Buck" Rowe of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Allene Hardwick of Columbia, Christine Hickerson of Chicago, IL

  • Two half-brothers: Robert "Shaw" Rowe and Leon Rowe both of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Daniel and Alyssa Byczynski

  • Several other relatives and friends
