Peggy Fudge: Glad to see June Dairy Day return to what it was Peggy Fudge writes: I am so glad to see June Dairy Day return to what it was in my childhood. Back in the dark ages (the 1960's), there wasn't much to do, so a day spent on the square watching and joining the fun was an event we greatly anticipated. For us kids, the highlight was the raffling off of a calf. Every year we were sure we were going to win. No such luck, but it never ruined the fun. I hope a crowd turns out, with lots of children to discover what a good time can be had with nary a smart phone in sight.
