Kenneth Lee Gwinn, Taylor Co., KY (1943-2015)

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal Faith. He was a mechanic at Fruit of The Loom for some thirty-seven and one half years, a farmer, a construction worker and delivered newspapers for the Courier Journal for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car racing, gardening and UK Basketball. He was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident at the time of his death. He was the patriarch of a highly regarded family. He was the son of the late James Garnett Gwinn and Ruth Smith Gwinn. His wife, Judy England Gwinn, survives. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Bro. Les Richard, Bro. George Blevens, Bro. Ray Shaw and Bro. Vernon Bragg. Burial will be in Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT, 5pm-8pmET, June 13, 2015 at the funeral home.

Kenneth Lee Gwinn was the son of the late James Garnett Gwinn and Ruth Smith Gwinn. he was born Tuesday, October 5, 1943 in Taylor County, KY. He died Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 61 years, eight months, and six days.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal Faith.

He was a mechanic at Fruit of The Loom for some thirty-seven and one half years, a farmer, a construction worker and delivered newspapers for the Courier Journal for twenty years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car racing, gardening and UK Basketball.

He united in marriage to Judy England January 11, 1964.

Besides his wife, he is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Allan Gwinn and wife Carol and Donna Agee and husband, Tommy of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Scott Gwinn, T.J. Agee and wife, Pam; and Nick Agee of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Jason, Destiny and Cody Agee

  • One brother: Lewis Gwinn and wife, Leta of Campbellsville

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • Many other relatives and friends.
