Clelland Hubbard, Taylor Co., KY (1934-2015)

He was co-owner and operator of Hubbard's Grocery some 17 years, former employee of Fruit of The Loom and a farmer. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Soule Chapel United Methodist Church where he served as an usher. He was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Henry E. Hubbard and Reedy Dulworth Hubbard, and the widower of Barbara J. Farris Hubbard, his wife of over 54 years. He leaves nine direct living descendants.

Clelland Hubbard, 80, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 1amET, Saturday, June 6, 2015.

Funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Ronnie Dooley and Bro. Jon Loy. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Clelland Hubbard, Taylor Co., KY (1934-2015)

Clelland Hubbard, was the son of the late Henry E. Hubbard and Reedy Dulworth Hubbard. He was born August 7, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the age of 80 years, 9 months, and 30 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Soule Chapel United Methodist Church where he served as an usher.

He was co-owner and operator of Hubbard's Grocery some 17 years, former employee of Fruit of The Loom and a farmer. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

He united in marriage to Barbara J. Farris August 7, 1954. She preceded him in death March 22, 2009.

He is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Gary Brents of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Michael Brents and wife Kristen of Crestwood, KY; Holly Brents of Campbellsville, KY; Molly Pepper and husband, Tyler of Bloomington, IN; and Johnny Hubbard and Billy Hubbard and wife Tandy of Lexington, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Alex Brents, Allison Pepper and Taylor Kate (T.K.) Hubbard

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by one son and daughter-in- law: Steve Hubbard October 4, 2000 and Peggy Taylor Hubbard November 13, 1999 and five sisters and four brothers: Opal Cave, Henrietta Shipp, Geneva Dudgeon, Mary Frances Hourigan, James Walker Hubbard, Harvey Hubbard, Edward Hubbard, Lewis J. Hubbard and Vaniel Romine.
