By Ofc. Jared Newberry, Public Affairs Officer
KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement

FRANKLIN, KY – Kentucky State Police CVE Division Post 3 Bowling Green was notified of an accident involving a commercial vehicle and a passenger car at 11amCT, Thursday May 28, 2015.

According to the preliminary report, a Ford pick-up truck operated by Maurice Turner of Horn Lake Mississippi struck the rear of a semi-trailer while traveling near the 1 mile marker of I-65.

The impact caused the pick-up truck to lose control and strike the concrete barrier wall before coming to final rest on the right shoulder.

Mr. Turner was transported by EMS crews to Franklin Medical Center for minor injuries. Seat belts were in use and alcohol does not appear to be a factor. The investigation is being conducted by Senior Officer Roy Murley. KY State Police CVE was assisted on scene by Simpson County Fire/EMS.
