Adair Co. Board of Elections meets for re-canvass at 9amCT Special CM report includes information from the office of Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer and Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes The Adair County Board of Elections will meet at 9amCT, Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY for a re-canvass in the Republican Primary held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 requested by the following candidates:
County boards of elections were required to notify each candidate of the time and location of the recanvass in their respective counties. Each candidate and both political parties are entitled to have a representative present, and the county board of elections shall authorize members of the media to observe. With the exceptions of Daviess, Fayette, Henderson, Jefferson, Kenton, Nelson and Rowan counties, which received an extension until June 1 to certify vote totals to the Secretary of State’s office, the results of the recanvass shall become the official returns of the county.
