Samuel K. Shirk, Jr. of Spencer, Tennessee passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at the University of KY Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was 42.

Funeral services are 9:30amCT, Friday, May 29, 2015 at the New Haven Mennonite Church in Spencer, Van Buren County, TN. Burial will be at the New Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be at the home in Spencer, TN Thursday, May 28, 2015, 1pm-3pmCT and 5pm-7pmCT.



Formerly of Liberty, KY, he was the son of Samuel W. and Bertha Kilmer Shirk.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Grace M. Weaver Shirk of Spencer , TN, and the following:
  • Eight children: Landis, Brenda, Eric, Kenneth, Geneva, Loretta, Elaine, and Wesley Shirk all of Spencer, TN
  • Five brothers
  • Six sisters
