Vicky Pike: Glad to see something done at intersection After a trip for a wonderful Graves family milestone event - Terryl Graves preschool graduation - and surviving the perils of navigating Tennessee, Vicky Pike returned home to see improvements, and it pleased her right well. She has stayed on the State's Case since seeing the need. Must have helped. She comments, "All is well today and we're excited to return to find the new yellow reflectors around the stop lights at the intersection of the Veteran's Memorial Bypass and Burkesville Road." Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Victoria Pike News from Greater Bliss, Adair County, KY Last evening I attending the graduation from preschool for Brice Graves, son of Whitney Terryl Graves, from Lighthouse Christian School in Nashville TN. There were 87 very excited 4-5 year olds who put on a very impressive program for a huge audience. You might remember the preschool was rebuilt by the Extreme Makeover team after the Nashville flood five years ago. It was a late night return for two very tired Adair residents. I was assisted in finding my way back to Columbia by Miss Tina Graves and her trusty iPhone that did well except for its directions around the Lebanon TN turn about. After turning it off we were able to get headed north. We didn't dare go back through downtown Nashville traffic after a slow crawl in yesterday afternoon. All is well today and we're excited to return to find the new yellow reflectors around the stop lights at the intersection of the Veteran's Memorial Bypass and Burkesville Road. I was sure glad to see something being done to try to prevent any more disastrous collisions at the most dangerous intersection. --Victoria Pike This story was posted on 2015-05-23 08:35:00
