Counties in Comer's country had high voter turnout percentages James Comer's home county, Monroe, had the highest voter turnout in the state See Voter Turnout by County for all 120 counties: 2015 KY Primary Election Voter Turnout ColumbiaMagazine.com Special Story ANALYSIS The results of last night's primary election was evidence of the importance of old fashioned, belly-to-belly, one-on-one, local organizational efforts. In South Central Kentucky, local, retail political efforts dominated. Small personal efforts yielded huge results. Even in Adair County, Comer partisans are waking up this morning knowing that had they gotten fewer than an average of six more of their voters per precinct, their candidate would have narrowly won, rather than narrowly lost, the statewide election. Similar numbers can be calculated in the South Central Kentucky Counties where the Tompkinsville native did best. Counties in the the CM 7-County area, all of which voted heavily for South Central Kentuckian Jamie Comer, had higher turnouts than the state average in the Tue 19 May election, ranked below by percent voter turnout:
