Viola Bunch, 94, a resident of Fair Oaks Nursing Home, died Monday, May 11, 2015.

Funeral service for Viola Bunch will be 10amCT, Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Mitchell Bunch and Bro. Kerry Yates officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY.

She was born Saturday, November 27, 1920 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of to the late George & Mary Yates Higginbotham. She died Monday, May 11, 2015, at the age of 94 years, five months, and 14 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pent ecostal Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bunch; a son, Danny Bunch; a daughter, Shirley Grant; a grandson, Troy Bunch and 8 siblings.

Survivors include the following:
  • Six children: Eugene (Judy) Bunch, Chicago, IL; Mitchell (Deanna) Bunch, Whitley City, KY; Wayne (Brenda) Bunch, Jamestown, KY, and Sue (Raymond) Antle, Shelby (Holland) Smith, and Sandra Yates, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Twenty-three grandchildren

  • Twenty-nine great grandchildren

  • And host of great great grandchildren

  • Sister: Helen Hadley, Clearwater, FL
