Letter from Joe Collins on retirement Pay scale big factor in loss of this experienced dispatcher at Adair 911 By Joe Collins Today is a bittersweet day for me. Today is my last day at the Adair County 911 at 17:00 hrs today I will be done, with 18 years in the chair here. I love it here but can't make any money doing this job. So I've got to move on; I want to thank all the people who have put their trust in me and all that have been a part of my life these 18 years. I know I have saved some lives and made a world of friends. And I wish the new people who are coming to be in this chair the best because there's a lot more to it than the people know, but I still loved doing it.
