Driver, passenger flown from scene of Clinton Co. KY collision

2004 Pontiac rear-ends 2011 Ford Pickup on US 127 bypass E. of U.S. 127 bypass in Albany, KY

ALBANY, KY – Tpr. Brian Gibson is investigating a collision that occurred today, Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at 1:23pmCT, east of the US 127 bypass on KY 90. 26-year-old Derrick Patton, of Liberty, KY, was operating an eastbound 2011 Ford truck when he stopped to make a left hand turn and was struck in the rear by a 2004 Pontiac operated by 22-year-old Carlos Perez of Monticello, KY.



Perez and a passenger, 20-year-old Christina R. Perez of Monticello, KY, were not belted and were flown from the scene to UK Medical Center. Another passenger, 1-year-old Juan Perez, who was in a child restraint, was transported to Clinton County Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Patton was belted and was not injured. Tpr. Gibson was assisted at the scene by Clinton County Sheriff's Department.
