Georgie Mae Cain, Casey Co., KY (1923-2015)

She was a housewife and a Member of the Mt. Olive Christian Church. Her husband, Elmer Cain, survives. She was the matriarch of a very large, respected Casey County family. She leaves 53 direct living descendants.

Georgie Mae Cain, 91, Liberty, Casey County, KY, was born in Cabool, MO, on November 11, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Liza McCart Wonnell. She passed away on Thursday April 23, 2015 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday April 26, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery in Casey County, KY.. Visitation will be 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-8pmET, Saturday April 25,, 2015 and after 8amCT/9amET, on Sunday April 26, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

She was a housewife and a Member of the Mt. Olive Christian Church.

Survivors include her spouse, Elmer Cain, and the following:
  • Six daughters: Donna and (David) Jensen of Wayne Westland, MI; Karen and (Tom) Toth of Woodhaven, MI; Kathy and (Paul) Oglesby of Tompkinsville, KY; Connie Dukes of Madisonville, KY; Karen and (Kenny) Helfert of Tennyson, IN; and MaryLee and (Eddie) Knight of Sacramento, KY

  • Thirteen grandchildren

  • Thirty four great grandchildren

  • One bother: Stan Wonnell of Sedalia, KY
Besides her parents Georgie was preceded in death by her first husband Elmer Riechmann and One Brother: Paul Glen Wonnell and One Sister: Frankie Weller. In Lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Christian Church Youth Group.
