Pauline Hulse, 84, Burkesville, KY (1930-2015)

She was of the Methodist faith, and a former waitress. She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the later Carlile Barger and Bessie Jones Barger, and the widow of John Allen Hulse. She leaves five direct living descendants.

Pauline Hulse age 84 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Cumberland County, KY.

Funeral service will be Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 2pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery. Family requests visitation 12pm noon CT until 9pmCT, Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.



Pauline Hulse, 84, Burkesville, KY (1930-2015)


Pauline was born on October 20, 1930 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Carlie Barger and Bessie Jones Barger. She died Thursday, April 16, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 84 years, five months, and 27 days.

She was of the Methodist faith, and a former waitress.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Allen Hulse; four sisters, Pansy Logan, Catherine Wray, Ruth Harris, and Annie Hulse; and two brothers, Otis Barger, and Jim Barger; and one great granddaughter, Samantha King

Survivors include:
  • One son: Ferry Hulse and his wife Martha of Burkesville, KY

  • One daughter: Pam Wray of Burkesville, KY

  • Three sisters: Betty Nation of New Castle, IN, Lizzie Stearns of Albany, KY, and Opal Edwards of Greensburg, KY

  • One granddaughter: Stephanie Key and her husband Chad of Burkesville, KY

  • Two great grandchildren: Douglas Norris and his wife Erica, and Matthew King all of Burkesville, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
