KHEAA representatives available for free college planning Audrey Fowler is outreach counselor for students in Adair, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor Counties. Keith Ritchie's area includes Casey County By Tim Ballard FRANKFORT, KY (April 17, 2015) -- Audrey Fowler and Keith Ritchie are available to assist area schools, students, parents and groups that want help with college planning. They are available year-round to provide free higher education and financial aid assistance. Fowler and Ritchie can lead students in career exploration activities, assist with the admissions application process, help students explore scholarship opportunities and other funding options, guide families through submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and increase motivation for at-risk students. They are also available to provide training on available programs and resources to school staff, media outlet representatives, adult education providers and others in the community interested in increasing college access for their clients or members. Fowler is the Southern Kentucky regional outreach counselor for the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA), a state agency. She can be reached at afowler@kheaa.com or at 270-991-4481. Her territory includes Adair, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor counties. Ritchie is the South Central Kentucky regional outreach counselor for KHEAA. He can be reached at kritchie@kheaa.com or at 859-200-8317. His territory includes Casey County. KHEAA's services are provided free to Kentuckians. KHEAA administers the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES), need-based grants and other programs to help students pay their higher education expenses.
