MIKE WATSON: Flooding unforgiving threat Click on headline for complete article with photo(s) By Mike Watson (1:21pmCT, 14 Apr 2017) -Looking at the high-water photographs on CM today proves that flooding is a real and unforgiving threat to humans, animals and property. Just this past Saturday Mrs. Watson and I were very near this now flooded spot. We were on a mission to take photographs for a project. As we drove along, through Gradyville and environs, I recounted the history of the Gradyville Flood, noting the "trickle" that is Big Creek. June 7, 2015 will mark the 108th anniversary of the tragic event that claimed so many lives. The accompanying photo is just one of the markers for flood victims of that night.
